In 2016, FARF adopted few villages in Bhadohi District (UP) to work at ground level. Villages were: Raipur (Gyanpur block), Bhikharirampur (Suriawan block), Sanathpur block (Suriawan block) etc
In October 2016, we organized open meetings in those villages and noted down all the ground level problems
In Raipur Village, our focus was mainly for the elderly problems and we invited/recognized all the elders in our events (photos)
One major problems which we identified was the lack of Social welfare Schemes. Most of the eligible elders were not getting benefited from the Old Age Pension scheme, Widow Pension Scheme etc.
Considering that FARF has own Common Service Centre & Sahaj e-district, we prepared their Income certificates without any changes and applied their pension form in Social Welfare Department. Mr. Ashok Mishra (Lawyer; FARF core team member) also helped to make the affidavit for all of them (photos)
Later, FARF also organized Medical camp and Agriculture camp in those villages to address other problems of elders (photos)
